Got your Annual Notice of Change? Your plan mails it each fall. It lists what changes on January 1. Viola reviews it with you, so you do not have to decode it alone. See our annual Medicare review checklist for what to bring.

Your service after enrollment

What you get as a Rise Up client

Enrolling is the start, not the end. Here is what we keep doing for you.

  • Help with claims, bills and appeals

A denied claim or a bill that looks wrong? Send it to us. We read the notice with you, call the plan or the provider to sort out billing mistakes, and help you file an appeal when one is needed.

  • A plan and prescription review every fall

Plans change their costs, networks and drug lists every year. During the Annual Enrollment Period we go through your plan, your doctors and your prescriptions so you know whether it still fits.

  • Rate increase checks for Medigap clients

When your Medicare Supplement company raises its rate, we look for a lower-cost plan you qualify for, and tell you plainly if staying put is the better choice.

  • No cost for any of it

You never pay us for our help. Agents are paid by the insurance company, and your premium is the same whether you use an agent or not.

Questions from our clients

When can I change my Medicare plan?

The main window is the Annual Enrollment Period, October 15 to December 7, 2026. You can join, switch or drop a Medicare Advantage or Part D plan, and the change starts January 1, 2027.

If you are in a Medicare Advantage plan, you also get one change between January 1 to March 31, 2027. Some life events, such as moving, open a Special Enrollment Period. Call us and we will tell you which window applies to you.

What is the Annual Notice of Change?

It is the letter or booklet your Medicare Advantage or Part D plan sends each fall listing what will be different next year: premiums, copays, the drug list and the network.

Keep it and bring it to your review. Viola goes through it with you line by line. Our annual review checklist shows what else to bring.

What should I do if my claim is denied?

Do not ignore it, and do not pay a bill you think is wrong until you know why it was sent. Many denials come from a billing code or a missing form and can be fixed with a phone call.

Send us the notice or the bill. We help you understand it, contact the plan or the provider with you, and help you file an appeal if one is needed. Appeals have deadlines printed on the notice, so reach out soon.

My Medigap rate went up. What can I do?

Call us with the letter. We compare what you pay now with other Medicare Supplement plans you could qualify for.

Switching a Medigap plan outside your first enrollment window can involve health questions, so we tell you up front whether a change is realistic. Sometimes keeping the plan you have is the right answer, and we will say so.

I am moving. What happens to my plan?

Medicare Advantage and Part D plans are tied to where you live, so moving out of your plan’s service area usually means choosing a new plan. The move gives you a Special Enrollment Period to do it.

A Medicare Supplement usually goes with you, although the premium can change with your new ZIP code. Tell us before you move. Viola is licensed in 29 states plus DC, so in many cases we can keep helping you after you move.

How do I check that my doctor is still in network?

Networks can change from year to year, and sometimes during the year. Look the doctor up in your plan’s provider directory, then call the office and ask whether they take your exact plan, not just Medicare.

Or give us the names and we will check for you. We do this for every client during the yearly review.

Do I pay for a review or for claims help?

No. There is no cost for any of our help, including reviews, claims help and rate checks. Agents are paid by the insurance company, and your premium is the same either way.

What should I bring to my annual review?

Your Medicare card and plan cards, your Annual Notice of Change, a list of your prescriptions with doses, and the names of your doctors and pharmacy. If something is missing, come anyway: we can look most of it up together.
