FAQ

Common questions

Who writes these insurance guides?

The guides are written by the Rise Up Benefits Group Data Desk and reviewed by Viola Lucero, CLTC, at our office in Chandler, Arizona. Every figure is labeled with its year and source.

Are the Medicare figures current?

Medicare plan figures use the CY2027 CMS Landscape file for Maricopa and Pinal counties, and federal amounts such as the Part B premium use the latest official 2026 values from CMS until the 2027 amounts are announced.

Can someone explain my own situation?

Yes. Call (480) 300-5776 or use our contact page to talk with a licensed agent about your doctors, prescriptions and budget.

Are these guides written for Arizona?

Yes. Each guide explains the rules for Chandler and the East Valley, with Arizona programs such as AHCCCS, ALTCS and Arizona SHIP, and Medicare plan figures for Maricopa and Pinal counties from the CY2027 CMS Landscape file. Federal rules apply everywhere, but we point out where Arizona is different, such as having no Medigap birthday rule.

How often are the guides updated?

Each guide shows the date it was last reviewed. We update figures when the agencies publish new ones. CMS usually announces the next year's Part B premium, deductible and IRMAA amounts around November, so the 2027 amounts will be added once they are released. Until then, the guides use the official 2026 values and say so.

Do you offer every Medicare plan in my area?

No. Rise Up Benefits Group is an independent agency that works with several insurance companies, but we do not offer every plan in your area. For a complete list of your options, visit Medicare.gov or call 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227). We will gladly walk you through the plans we do offer and how they fit your doctors and prescriptions.

Where can I compare Medicare or Marketplace plans on my own?

For Medicare, use Plan Finder on Medicare.gov, which compares Medicare Advantage and Part D plans by ZIP code and drug list. For under 65 coverage, Arizona uses HealthCare.gov, the official Marketplace. Arizona SHIP (1-800-432-4040) offers unbiased Medicare counseling. Our guides explain the terms so those tools are easier to use.

Can I learn about Medicare in a group setting?

Yes. Rise Up Benefits Group holds Medicare workshops online and at our office in Chandler. They are a relaxed way to learn how the parts of Medicare fit together and to ask questions alongside others at the same stage of life. See our seminars page for upcoming dates, or call (480) 300-5776 if you would rather talk one on one.

Please note: We do not offer every plan available in your area. Currently we represent 34 organizations which offer 64 products in your area. Please contact Medicare.gov, 1-800-MEDICARE, or your local State Health Insurance Program (SHIP) to get information on all of your options. Life, long-term care, annuity and supplemental products are subject to underwriting and carrier approval. Guarantees are based on the claims-paying ability of the issuing company. Nothing on this site is tax, legal or investment advice.
