Common questions

Are these insurance calculators free?

Yes. Every calculator is free, needs no sign-up, and runs in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to us or anyone else.

Which year are the figures from?

Medicare tools use the 2026 federal figures from CMS; the 2027 amounts are announced around November 2026. ACA and HSA tools use 2026 IRS and HHS figures. Each page lists its sources and year.

Are the results a quote?

No. They are estimates from published figures and the numbers you enter. Your actual premium and eligibility are confirmed when you apply.

Can I see real 2027 Medicare plans for my ZIP code?

Yes. Our plan finder shows 2027 Medicare Advantage and Part D plans from the CMS public files for your Arizona county, and Marketplace plans for under-65 coverage. Viola then checks your doctors and prescriptions with you.

Which calculator should I use if I am turning 65?

Start with the Medicare enrollment date calculator to see your seven-month window and earliest coverage date. If you are working past 65 or signed up late, the Part B and Part D penalty calculators show what a gap could cost, and the IRMAA calculator checks whether your income adds a surcharge. Then talk it through with us.

Can I use these calculators if I do not live in Arizona?

Mostly, yes. Medicare, Social Security and HSA rules are federal, so those results apply nationwide. A few notes are Arizona-specific, such as AHCCCS and the state income tax rate. Viola is licensed in other states too, so call (480) 300-5776 and we will confirm we can help where you live.

How often are the calculator figures updated?

Whenever a new official figure is published, and each tool shows the year its figures belong to. The 2027 Medicare amounts are expected around November 2026, and we update the Medicare tools then. ACA, HSA and Social Security figures are updated when HHS, the IRS and SSA release them.

Does it cost anything to go over my results with an agent?

No. There is no fee for our help. Agents are paid by the insurance companies, and your premium is the same whether you enroll with us or on your own. Call (480) 300-5776 or book a time through our contact page, and bring your calculator results with you.

Are the Social Security calculators official SSA tools?

No. They are planning tools from Rise Up Benefits Group, an independent agency, and they are not connected with the Social Security Administration. They use the formulas and limits SSA publishes. For your official figures, sign in to your my Social Security account at ssa.gov.
